The Lord has provided us with SO many weapons of warfare. “Declaration” is a powerful one. As Christians, we have been grafted by our faith in Christ and His completed work on the cross and His resurrection from death into God’s chosen people of Israel. I recently read that, because of that grafted positioning, we are right now in a supercharged season of praying in the future. Huh? You see, we are already in the Jewish New Year of 5781 which began on Rosh Hashanah (September 18-20, 2020) even though our Gregorian calendar New Year begins on January 1, 2021. So, what we declare until 1/1/21, we are declaring in the future and what that future will be!
Warrior of Christ, choose to pray in power by declaring NOW what you desire to see unfold in 2021. Then, wait expectantly on the Lord! I have been actively declaring the Word of God over myself, my household and those marrying into it as well as those to be born into it, over the good plans the Lord has for each of us, over our extended families, over our nation, our ministries, our health, etc. Just open the Bible, read Scripture and declare it! Open the Declaration of Independence, read it and declare it! Open the Constitution of these United States of America, read it and declare it! Read prophetic words given to you, and declare them anew!
Below is just a sampling of Scriptures to kickstart your season of declaration:
Joshua 24:15 (NIV) “…But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
John 5:24 (NLT) “I [Jesus] tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.”
John 14:6 (NLT) “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
Acts 1:8 (NLT) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Romans 12 (NLT) – the whole chapter – but here are the first 4 verses… “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.”
Romans 13:14 (NLT) “Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.”
Galatians 3:26-27 (NLT) “For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.”
Galatians 5:22-25 (NLT) “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patiences, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.”
1 Corinthians 12:3-7 (TPT) “No one speaking by the Spirit of God would ever say, “Jesus is the accursed one.” No one can say, “Jesus is the Lord Yahweh,” unless the Holy Spirit is speaking through him. It is the same Holy Spirit who continues to distribute many different varieties of gifts. The Lord Yahweh is one, and he is the one who apportions to believers different varieties of ministries. The same God distributes different kinds of miracles that accomplish different results through each believer’s gift and ministry as he energizes and activates them. Each believer is given continuous revelation by the Holy Spirit to benefit not just himself but all.”
Ephesians 3:14-21 (NLT) “When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”
Declare and pray, Warrior of Christ!
