Armor of God – Challenge and Prayer

Romans 13:14 (TPT) “Instead, fully immerse yourselves into the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, and don’t waste even a moment’s thought on your former identity to awaken its selfish desires.”

Galatians 3:26-27 (NLT) “For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.”

Time is flying by! Each day is an opportunity, Warrior, to arm yourself and be prepared for battle – to be a part of ushering God’s Kingdom to the earth. When you are a child of God, you are a new creation and have authority and power from heaven as you abide in Christ and walk in the Spirit. I challenge you to daily put on Christ!

Romans 13:14 (ESV) “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.”

Ephesians 6:13-16 (NLT) Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor [breastplate] of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word [rhema] of God.”

Father, today I put on the full armor of God and declare that I stand firm. I put on the belt of truth – Jesus, you are the way, the truth and the life and nobody comes to the Father but by You. I put on the breastplate of righteousness – Jesus, You are my righteousness and I am eternally grateful that when the Father looks at me, He sees Your righteousness and not my filthy rags. By my belief in You and Your sacrifice on the cross for my sins, the Father has removed my sins from me as far as the east is from the west. I choose to move today in the love of the Father and the compassion of Christ. For shoes, I put on the peace that You left me, Jesus – walking in Your peace, taking it with me wherever I go, and claiming every place my feet trod for You and Your Kingdom. I hold up my shield of faith that quenches fiery arrows of the enemy – by faith in Christ I have been saved and am now covered in protection by Your wings – You are my shield and the Rock to which I run. I put on the helmet of salvation, thanking the Father for His plan for restoring relationship with me and praising Jesus for being faithful unto death, burial, and raising from the dead as King of King and Lord of Lords. I choose to take captive every thought in obedience to Christ allowing Holy Spirit to transform my thinking using Truth as my filter to renew my mind, actions, and emotions. I ask the Lord for wisdom, discernment, understanding and revelation. Finally, I take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and ask the Holy Spirit to activate the Word in me today! I am a Warrior of Christ!!!
